Wow.. I was quite busy for the last two weeks.
Last week I was in Limbang, had a short break to see what Limbang is all about. Quite nice the town was.
Today, I facilitated in KidsKlick Nature Photography Workshop. I learned a lot! I hope the kids too! Now I have some ideas to have better pictures. I learned about aperture, but I missed the shutter speed part.. erkk..
I like Mr. David’s explanation at the beginning of the talk:
What is camera? Camera is a box of light. It is like our skull.
Camera isn’t complete without lens. Lens is like our eyes.
Aperture is just like pupil of the eye. It controls how much light enter the eye.
Shutter speed is like our eyelid. How fast it blinks before the light enters our eye?
I like the way Nazeri explains about DOF and OOF. DOF is depth of field and OOF is out of focus. Basically, it is the opposite of each other.
DOF is when a picture is clear from the front until back. OOF has some weight of blur that helps the picture to look better.
Also missed his speech of 3rd rules.
Got some hands-on on tripod, aperture, a li’l bit on composition and lighting.. my picture is still dark. Kong mentioned something about “reflector”.
Gee.. was I a facilitator or was I a partipant? I wonder myself..
P/S: I should continue my posts on Sipadan trip and Limbang and the camp afterwards..
